Ricardo Field Paint Company LLC is seeking a Painter to join its onsite team in Joplin, MO.
Position Summary
The Painter role is responsible for preparing surfaces and applying high-quality paint finishes to meet project specifications and quality standards. This position works hands-on to support efficient job completion while maintaining safety, workmanship, and attention to detail.
You will collaborate with the team to ensure materials and finishes are applied correctly, consistently, and ready for the intended use—whether on new surfaces or during refinishing work.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching, and masking as needed
- Apply paint and coatings using appropriate methods to achieve consistent coverage and finish quality
- Follow job specifications, finish requirements, and application instructions to meet project outcomes
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and handle materials safely throughout the shift
- Assist with basic equipment setup and care to support efficient, dependable work
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform job duties that may involve standing, lifting, bending, and working in varied conditions
- Experience applying paint finishes and/or performing surface preparation work (or demonstrated comparable experience)
- Knowledge of safe work practices, including proper handling of materials and awareness of jobsite hazards
- Attention to detail to ensure correct prep, coverage, and final appearance
- Willingness to follow direction and work effectively as part of an onsite team
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with coating and refinishing projects in field or industrial environments
- Familiarity with different surface conditions and how they affect preparation and paint performance
- Basic understanding of paint application principles such as coverage, drying/curing times, and proper layering
- Experience using painting tools and equipment reliably to produce consistent results
Compensation
Hourly rate: $18
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
