Responsibilities
- Greet patients upon arrival and provide them with necessary information regarding their appointments.
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments while maintaining an organized calendar.
- Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
- Handle phone inquiries, directing calls appropriately and responding to patient questions with professionalism.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before patient visits.
- Collect patient balances and co-payments.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area to enhance patient experience.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure smooth patient flow and effective communication within the clinic or hospital setting.
Skills
- At least 1 year experience in a medical office or clinic setting is required.
- Familiarity with medical receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling and documentation review.
- Bilingual candidates fluent in Spanish are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse patient population. However, this is not a requirement.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
