About the Role:
An Operational Technology Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems, databases, network and infrastructure to ensure efficiency and reliability in an operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, Implement OT systems, databases, network and infrastructure, ensuring it meets the industrial operation organization's needs and enhances operational processes.
- Plan and Perform system’s hardware/software updates to enhance performance
- Continuously monitor OT systems / Database / network performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical problems as they arise. Perform system maintenance, backups and recovery.
- Work closely with other professionals and stakeholders to integrate new technologies and improve existing systems.
- Design and Maintain detailed documentation of system / database / network configurations, processes, and changes to ensure compliance and facilitate future upgrades.
- Ensure proper Security Practices are being used. Audit systems as required
- Provide technical support and training to users, ensuring they can effectively utilize the systems in place.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: A degree in Electrical Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science is required.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with various operating systems Windows/Linux, SQL*Server, routed and switched OT networks, and hardware configurations is required.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in systems management, networking such as CCNA, MSCE are a plus

- On-Site and Remote Work: Initial on-site work for training and site familiarization. Then position would slowly migrate to a remote desk function only.
