Production Supervisor Fully On-Site Production Supervisor Location: Canton, Ohio Company: RHI Magnesita (formerly Resco Products) Role Summary RHI Magnesita is seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead operations in our Press Room Department on second shift at our Canton, OH facility. This role is responsible for overseeing a team of approximately ten production employees, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with press machine setup, hydraulic systems, and mechanical operations, along with strong leadership and communication skills What You’ll Do Supervise daily operations in the Press Room, ensuring production goals are met. Conduct daily safety talks and enforce safety policies and procedures. Set up and monitor press machines, ensuring proper function and efficiency. Troubleshoot and support hydraulic and mechanical systems as needed. Provide leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to team members. Coordinate with other departments including raw materials, packaging, shipping, and quality assurance. Maintain workflow by monitoring control points, equipment, and resources. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support LEAN manufacturing practices. Ensure compliance with company standards, union agreements, and quality expectations. Document and report production data and equipment issues. Foster a team-oriented, safety-first culture What You Bring Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of press machine operations, hydraulics, and mechanical systems. Ability to lead and motivate a team in a union environment. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work second shift and flexible hours, including weekends if needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Technical background preferred; 4-year degree is a plus. Experience with refractory or ceramic products is a bonus.
