Role Summary
The General Laborer supports daily production operations by assisting with material handling, cleaning, basic production tasks, and equipment support throughout the Molding & Pressing department. Role Summary
The General Laborer supports daily production operations by assisting with material handling, cleaning, basic production tasks, and equipment support throughout the Molding & Pressing department. This role plays a key part in ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient work environment by performing routine labor duties, supporting machine operators, and ensuring materials and work areas remain organized.
What You’ll Do
- Receive instructions and daily work assignments from the Production Supervisor.
- Assist with handling, moving, and staging materials needed for production.
- Support machine operators by clearing work areas, organizing tools, and preparing materials.
- Perform visual inspections of materials and report any defects or concerns.
- Maintain work areas, production floors, and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
- Follow all safety rules and standard operating procedures.
- Assist with cleaning up loose materials, spillage, or green brick as required.
- Help load, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with production needs.
- Support general housekeeping duties throughout the department.
- Perform other production and labor tasks as necessary to support overall operations.
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to assist wherever needed.
- Attention to detail when handling materials and performing quality checks.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
