Job Title: Accounting Specialist

Work location: Hanover, MD

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for processing the Company's accounts payable and accounts receivables to ensure that invoices remitted and payments received are valid, accurate, and timely; performing three-way match; verifying proper application of costs to inventory; verifying proper application of credits to customer, aging and ensuring compliance to controls.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely, accurate and complete processing of all accounting transactions to ensure the company maximizes discounts, prevents credit holds from suppliers, avoids penalty charges, and financial data is free of errors that may hinder management's ability to validate company financial standing.
• Adhere to policies, procedures, and controls within the defined guidelines.
• Identify and communicate inventory variances with buyers and vendors when the three-way match fails.
• Ensure that freight and duty invoices are correctly posted to the General Ledger.
• Interact with multiple departments and vendors to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or related field/experience.
• Minimum 1-5 years of experience in accounting, business, or related field.
• Korean language preferred but not required.
