Position Overview
As a Patient Service Specialist – Float, you will support multiple DGFM locations, delivering exceptional front-office service and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys variety in their day-to-day work.
What You Will Bring
- A warm, welcoming attitude and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Ability to manage a busy phone system: answering, transferring, and responding to patient inquiries.
- Skill in scheduling patient appointments efficiently and accurately.
- Experience collecting co-payments and verifying insurance information.
- Attention to detail in preparing the office for patient visits, including confirming appointments and communicating special instructions.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate patient profiles in the EMR system (Athena experience a plus).
- Flexibility to assist with general office tasks to ensure a clean, organized, and professional environment.
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of experience as a medical secretary preferred.
- Experience with EMR systems strongly preferred (Athena experience is a plus).
- Willingness to travel between DGFM locations as needed.
