About the Position: As a Mission Support Specialist you will support the planning, design, execution, and evaluation of strategic and tactical projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency. Providing mission essential support with effective communication and technical writing/editing. You will work with senior leaders from the District to support strategic efforts to build consensus for corporate goals and initiatives. You may stand-in for the Chief Strategy Officer at key meetings.

GS-09 Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified applicants will describe in their resume at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade with 1) developing written correspondence in draft form such as office policies, communication plans, operational plans, reports, and strategic documents; 2) Collaborating with personnel throughout an organization to strategize, develop, and disseminate written and media communications; and 3) Communicating and engaging with a variety of personnel within professional, technical, and administrative backgrounds to develop strategic plans, technical documents, and correspondence for a business unit or organization.
OR qualify at the GS-09 level with Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Organizational Management and Leadership, Public Administration, Business Administration, Training and Organizational Development, etc.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

GS-11 Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified applicants will describe in their resume at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade with applying a wide variety of analytical and evaluative techniques to assess the business administration processes and procedures; and/or evaluating new and innovative business processes and procedures to assure conformity to policies and regulations.
