What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst position at RGP?
RGP is seeking a highly analytical and commercially-minded Finance Analyst to support our clients' critical planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making processes. In this pivotal consulting role, you will leverage your expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and performance reporting to drive deep collaboration with business partners, ensure effective cost management, and execute process improvement projects across various business functions.
What you will work on
1. Strategic Partnering & Decision Support•Drive deep collaboration with business partners, acting as a strategic advisor to leadership.•Share data-driven insights to evaluate key investment opportunities and support tactical/strategic business decisions.
2. Data Analysis and Reporting•Define crucial Financial KPIs for the business and develop the necessary data and reporting capabilities to track performance.•Conduct regular financial reviews to share insights with business leadership and ensure effective cost management.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting (FP&A)•Develop robust financial models, annual budgets, and monthly financial forecasts by understanding key cost drivers and analyzing historical trends.•Identify and articulate risks and opportunities within the Plan/Forecast.•Conduct detailed variance analysis between Plan, Forecast, and Actuals.•Support the central FP&A function by providing inputs for the monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L planning activities.
4. Project Management & Process Improvement•Identify and drive process improvement, efficiency enhancement, and cost saving projects.•Collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence leadership to execute recommended changes.
5. Financial Close Support & Vendor Management•Support monthly/quarterly financial closing activities in collaboration with Accounting teams.•Prepare Accrual Journal Vouchers (JVs), perform Actuals vs. Forecast reconciliation, and execute expense re-classifications and re-allocations.•Manage Purchase Orders to ensure timely payment to vendors.
6. Retail Compliance and Policy•Review all Retail Out of Policy trips and meeting requests (e.g., through Apple Travel/Meetings & Events).Own and manage the Retail Air Travel Dashboard to track spend and declined savings.•Manage and update the Trip Approval process with M&E, including thresholds, routing, and policy adherence.

What you will bring
- 2-5 years of progressive experience in an FP&A, Business Finance, or Strategic Finance role.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proven ability to conduct variance analysis (Plan vs. Forecast vs. Actuals).
- Strong experience supporting monthly/quarterly financial close processes (e.g., preparing JVs, accruals).
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and strategic partnering skills.
- Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
- Technology
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis).
- Variety of workplace arrangements including hybrid, remote, onsite.
- Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
- Pay Range: $ 65-70hr.
