Cloud Data Engineer/Analyst

As Cloud Data Engineer/Analyst you will be responsible for using you knowledge of data processing software and business application development to support analytical needs of the Business. Duties include collaborating with business customers, stakeholders and other development team members to define, design and implement analytical products like automated reports (including visual), statistical models, and data analytics processes.



What you will work on

• Collaborate with development and business teams to finalize system design and identify data requirements for effective delivery 
• Use application development tools and resources to independently build data pipelines with components including triggers, validation, monitoring, and logging 
• Build POCs/prototypes and present findings to business stakeholders 
• Support and troubleshoot cloud data issues within a Microsoft Azure environment, including Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Delta Lake, Databricks, and Azure Synapse 
• Provide support and troubleshooting for on-premises MSSQL data issues 
• Apply advanced problem-solving skills to complex data challenges 
• Work with extremely large datasets (billions of records) to detect anomalies, identify root causes, and assess data quality and completeness 
• Determine whether data anomalies are systemic or isolated, and assess their impact on downstream processes
• Define options for automation and process improvement 
• Create impactful reports and visualizations to support business decisions 

 


What you will bring

• 7-10 years of experience data engineering role 
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field 
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Delta Lake, Databricks, and Azure Synapse 
• Experience with on-premises MSSQL environments 
• Experience writing complex queries in SQL and understanding large-scale data warehouse environments 
• Strong proficiency in SQL 
• Excellent Analytical and problem-solving skills, and self-sufficient in investigating data discrepancies – proficient at data analysis and mining 
• Technical communication skills – writing and editing, as well as speaking 
• Knowledge of logical/physical data model and data relationships 
• Excellent attention to detail
  
  

What you can expect

• Base Pay Range: $65-$70/hour 
• Other Compensation: Incentive Compensation  
• All Compensation is commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors.
