Job description:
- We're seeking an experienced Mechanical/HVAC Project Engineer to lead the design and execution of HVAC and Building Automation System (BAS) projects.
- This role is responsible for managing multiple capital projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing engineering designs, overseeing project scope, budgets, schedules, and supporting HVAC system optimization from concept through implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and engineering of HVAC and Building Automation System (BAS) projects.
- Develop project scope, engineering schedules, cost estimates, and risk assessments.
- Manage multiple capital projects (up to $5M) simultaneously.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Facilities, and Operations teams throughout project execution.
- Support HVAC controls design, BAS standards, and troubleshooting for existing facilities.
- Review engineering designs, monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules.
- Assist with bid packages, contractor coordination, and engineering documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for HVAC systems and facility operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 10 years of HVAC engineering and project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and Building Automation Systems (BAS).
- Experience with HVAC design, engineering calculations, and facilities projects.
- Proficiency with Revit, BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), or similar design tools is preferred.
- Experience with Niagara Tridium BAS is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license and/or PMP certification preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and project management skills.
