Job Description:
Project Engineer – Product Standardization
We are seeking a Project Engineer to lead strategic product standardization initiatives aimed at simplifying customer offerings and improving engineering, manufacturing, and ordering processes.
This role requires strong project leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and technical expertise to drive product rationalization and establish standardized engineering solutions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional projects involving Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams
- Analyze existing product offerings to identify opportunities for standardization and simplification
- Develop and implement product rationalization frameworks and governance processes
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including Order Data Sheets (ODS), assembly drawings, and manufacturing drawings
- Support integration of engineering data within Creo/Windchill and ordering systems
- Utilize data analytics and Power BI to support project decisions and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive process mapping, process standardization, and system-level design improvements
- Ensure project milestones are delivered on time while supporting long-term operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- 5 years of Project Engineering or Technical Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience leading cross-functional projects in complex, matrixed organizations
- Strong knowledge of product standardization, process mapping, and engineering documentation
- Experience with Power BI, data analytics, and PLM systems
- Excellent technical communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical engineering background
- Experience with assembly or sheet metal manufacturing
- Proficiency with Creo and Windchill
- Experience with manufacturing drawings, product configuration, and engineering change management
