What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interpreter/Translator - Japanese/English position at RGBSI?
Remote / Part - Time
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate Simultaneous interpretation remotely (equipment provided) for meetings, legacy Client R&D.
- As an interpreter, it is critical that both your Japanese and English be smooth and easy to understand.
- Although translation is minimal, you are expected to translate documents accurately and quickly, if and when necessary.
Requirements:
- Experienced Japanese/English Simultaneous Interpreter (both directions: Japanese to English and English to Japanese).
Education:
- 4-year college degree with a few years of experience, or if no college, at least 5 years of interpretation experience.
Other:
- Part-time position, approximately 12-15 hours/week.
- Work hours: 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. ET on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
- Actual hours may vary depending on your capabilities and the meeting schedule. Occasionally, you may be asked to support evening meetings.
