What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Mechanical Engineering ( Manufacturing) position at RGBSI A&D?

Responsibilities:
- 1. Work Instruction Development - Create, update, and maintain detailed Work Instructions in Solumina G7 - Review outcomes from process tryouts and incorporate findings into revised instructions. - Ensure Work Instructions accurately reflect current best practices, tooling requirements, and process controls.
- 2. Quality Data Review & Producibility Analysis - Analyze quality signature data (including QNs and other quality metrics) for current parts to identify producibility concerns and improvement opportunities. - Review historical and current quality data to recommend corrective actions. - Partner with Quality Engineering to ensure that identified producibility actions are implemented and validated.
- 3. Blueprint & Engineering Drawing Review - Review current engineering blueprints to identify producibility opportunities related to dimensioning, tolerancing, and feature definition. - Recommend improvements to GD&T schemes to enhance manufacturability and reduce variation. - Provide weekly milestone updates for CSMC part operations in Excel format.
- 4. Tooling Notifications & Process Tryout Support - Review results from process tryout activities across New Part Introduction operations. - Issue Tool Notifications (TNs) to request tooling modifications required to address producibility or quality findings. - Collaborate with Tooling Engineering to ensure timely implementation of tool changes.
- 5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration - Work closely with Operations, Quality, Tooling, and Design Engineering to ensure alignment on producibility improvements. - Participate in root‑cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives. - Support production readiness activities and contribute to process capability improvements.
Qualifications -
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, GD&T, and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with Solumina G7 or similar MES systems preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and drive corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
