Engineered Systems Technician 3/4

We are seeking an Engineered Systems Technician 3/4 to support high-power RF systems at a research facility.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating, maintaining, and commissioning high-power RF equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repairing RF and electrical systems.
• Assisting in designing system upgrades and new equipment.
• Providing on-call support during off-hours and weekends.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Experience with electronic test tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters).
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
• Prototyping electronic chassis, mechanical and wiring tasks.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Proficiency with CAD software for schematics.
  
  

Preferred skills include: experience with RF test equipment, high-voltage/high-power systems, pulsed power, RF systems, circuit simulation, and cooling systems.

Education & Experience:

• Engineered Systems Tec 3: Associate’s Degree 3 years experience.
• Engineered Systems Tec 4: Associate’s Degree 5 years experience, with potential additional training.
  
  

Work environment: Onsite in Los Alamos, NM, with full-time commitment.
