What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architectural Consultant position at Engineered Systems?
Position summary: This position’s primary responsibility is to act as a strategic, relationship-driven technical advisor to the Architectural and Consultant communities. You will leverage your commercial design expertise to demonstrate the value of our portfolio of products within industry projects. You will act as the vital conduit between the Owner, Architect, Engineer, Contractors, and our internal sales personnel.
Key responsibilities:
· Review and assess applicable products, project assemblies, and technical details for ongoing projects.
· Frequent (3 times a week) travel within the Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana territory for in-person meetings, networking, and measuring assistance.
· Provide high-level technical assistance and product application guidance to architects, designers and consultants.
· Budgetary estimations with general contractors.
· Schedule and present AIA continuing education courses to regional architectural firms.
· Tracking of the presentations for manufacturer reimbursement.
· Participate actively in related professional organizations and technical groups (e.g., AIA, BSA BEC, CSI, IIBEC).
· Drive revenue by developing accounts, understanding project requirements, and providing tailored product information.
Essential skills/experience:
The successful candidate for this position will have, at minimum, the following skills, experience and characteristics.
· Bachelor’s degree in: Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, &/or related field
· 2-5 years of related professional work experience in commercial architecture
· Understanding the interconnectedness of building envelope components and energy codes
· Expertise in reading and interpreting commercial construction documents
· Excellent public speaking, presentation, and organizational skills
· Self-motivated, customer service-oriented, and capable of productively multitasking
Preferred but not Required:
While not required, it would be mutually beneficial if the candidate has any or all of the following:
· CAD/Revit (BIM) drawing ability
· Installation guide QA/QC guidance
Current Project List:
· Enhance existing cladding/wall and roofing architectural details
· Annual presentation targets and tracking
· Assisting with showcase room
· Update and maintain architectural contact list.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
