Position Summary:
The Distribution Manager oversees the daily operations, activities and resources to ensure operating efficiencies and profitability of the distribution center. They develop and deploy strategies and objectives to maximize productivity while managing cost containment through continuous improvement and value creation activities. They oversee and support the inventory accuracy and controls processes to ensure on-time delivery to internal and external customers
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs day-to-day activities of the distribution center to achieve company objectives and meet customer expectations
- Reviews daily shipment schedule to plan and prioritize daily work schedule to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Focuses on continuous improvement and makes decisions to enhance value, service and profitability.
- Leads, trains, develops and skills and abilities of warehouse team associates.
- Oversees maintenance of all distribution center equipment, providing preventive maintenance and necessary repairs.
- Ensure processes are in documented and followed in receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking and shipping to meet organization goals
- Monitors and ensures a safe working, organized and clean facility.
- Collaborate with 3PL and forwarders to improve freight cost and consolidation to maximize economy and develop cost savings
- Enforces policies and procedures to ensure safe, clean, organized and efficient distribution center operations.
- Oversees distribution compliance for inventory management, cycle counting and product handling.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong people skills and emotional awareness.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite and in WMS and ERP systems.
- Demonstrates continuous improvement and lean thinking knowledge.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with an emphasis on operations management or supply chain.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing in a distribution center environment.
- Experience with both distribution and manufacturing parts inventory
- Military experience a plus!
Supervisory responsibilities:
- Directs and manages a team of Distribution Center Specialists.
- DC Operations and Inventory
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Both office and manufacturing environment.

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
