What You’ll Do
The System Administrator is based out of our Corporate Office in Pickerington, Ohio and is responsible for cyber-security, troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues, as well as ensuring system uptime, and performance. In addition, the position is responsible for solving complicated problems related to a variety of network and information systems.
Specific Responsibilities
1. Manages cyber-security across all internal and SaaS systems.
2. Applies policies necessary to assure the security of the company’s infrastructure and data.
3. Work with our cyber security tools and vendors such as MS Entra ID, CrowdStrike Falcon, CrowdStrike Shield, Cocentric.ai, Palo Alto Prisma to assure maximum benefit from these investments.
4. Deploys, maintains, and troubleshoots a datacenter infrastructure in an Enterprise environment which is primarily AWS based.
5. Builds, configures, and deploys end user hardware (Windows Laptops, Apple MacBooks).
6. Collaborate with IS Team, third-party support, and service vendors, to ensure that the network is operating effectively and that support issues are resolved in a timely manner.
7. Monitors, diagnoses, and resolves hardware, software, and network infrastructure (LAN, WAN and WIFI) issues.
8. Monitors the performance of computer systems and networks, and coordinates computer network access and use.
9. Resolves issues from within the Help Desk.
10. Deploys, maintains, and troubleshoots Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022/2025).
11. Performs proactive monitoring and management of all infrastructure systems, including servers, storage, networking equipment, VMWare, O365, etc.
12. Maintains backups (using Veeam and AWS Backup) and test restores of the infrastructure environment.
13. Manages Multi-Factor/SSO throughout the organization for various applications and access.
14. Provides comprehensive documentation of existing and future infrastructure.
15. Documents, tracks, and monitors changes to ensure proper resolution.
16. Provides on-call and\or after-hours support as needed.
Qualifications
- Requires an undergraduate degree in a related field and 5 years or more of related experience as a Systems Administrator, or equivalent.
- Must have 5 years or more years of experience with Windows Server and Microsoft Online technologies, Including AzureAD, Intune, O365, Exchange Online/Hybrid Exchange, Azure AD Connect, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Services, etc., (2016/2019/2022/2025).
- Requires 5 years of Cisco Switch/Router/APs Administration including Meraki.
- Must have 5 years of Corporate Firewall Administration (Palo Alto Next Gen Firewalls as well as Palo Alto Prisma a plus).
- Apple Hardware & OS Administration experience is required.
- Windows 10/11 OS Administration experience is required.
- Experience with Microsoft O365 Administration, including PowerShell is required.
- Server & Cloud Backups Required; Veeam & AWS Backup experience is a plus.
- 3 years of Amazon AWS experience is required.
- Must have a strong technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite and Artificial Intelligence Tools
