We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our legal team. This position serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors and provides administrative support to attorneys and staff. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. - Greet clients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Schedule appointments and manage attorney calendars
- Open and maintain client files (physical and electronic)
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries
- Draft basic correspondence and assist with document preparation
- File documents and maintain organized records
- Assist attorneys and staff with general administrative tasks as needed
- Prior office or administrative experience preferred (legal office experience is a plus)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional phone and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or paralegal coursework is a plus
- Writing skills with attention to detail for drafting and proofreading legal documents.
