Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Material Handler to join our team for a 10-hour shift. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and organization of materials within our warehouse. Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with OSHA safety standards.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately using RF scanners and manual methods to meet shipping deadlines.
- Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and order pickers to move large or heavy items efficiently within the warehouse.
- Maintain precise inventory records through regular stock counts and inventory management systems.
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with safety protocols, including proper manual handling techniques and heavy lifting procedures.
- Assist with shipping and receiving functions by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
- Support warehouse operations by organizing storage areas, stacking pallets safely, and ensuring clear pathways for equipment movement.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, or related logistics roles.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cranes, and load & unload machinery safely.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and RF scanners for tracking materials accurately.
- Manual handling skills with an emphasis on safety protocol adherence per OSHA guidelines.
- Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities during order picking and stock counts.
- Previous experience in warehouse supervisor roles or overseeing warehouse operations is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory control.
