Material handler 10-hour shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Material Handler to join our team for a 10-hour shift. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement, storage, and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate inventory management, and safe handling of goods. Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with OSHA safety standards.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately using RF scanners and manual methods to meet shipping deadlines.
• Operate heavy equipment such as cranes and order pickers to move large or heavy items efficiently within the warehouse.
• Maintain precise inventory records through regular stock counts and inventory management systems.
• Ensure all warehouse activities comply with safety protocols, including proper manual handling techniques and heavy lifting procedures.
• Assist with shipping and receiving functions by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
• Support warehouse operations by organizing storage areas, stacking pallets safely, and ensuring clear pathways for equipment movement.

Skills

• Proven experience in warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping & receiving, or related logistics roles.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, cranes, and load & unload machinery safely.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and RF scanners for tracking materials accurately.
• Manual handling skills with an emphasis on safety protocol adherence per OSHA guidelines.
• Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities during order picking and stock counts.
• Previous experience in warehouse supervisor roles or overseeing warehouse operations is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment and inventory control.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
