We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-driven Assembler to join our team in Ashtabula. You’ll work in our manufacturing facility assembling high-quality products, operating hand and power tools, and helping ensure everything we build meets the highest standards.
Essential Duties
- Prepare and organize parts and set up assembly processes in accordance with daily work orders.
- Assemble products using hand tools and various equipment.
- Conduct quality inspections on completed products in compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of product mechanical components.
- Perform repair and rework on returned or defective products.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior or new employees to enhance their skills and productivity.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve products through process and/or material modifications.
- Identify and report defective parts and products in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including equipment and work areas.
- Carry out additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to perform job duties.
- Must possess the ability to see and inspect details at close range.
- Work is performed in a shop environment and requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Education and Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a production or assembly environment within a plant or shop setting.
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
- High school diploma or GED required.
2. Skills and Attributes
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to demonstrate a high level of initiative.
- Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
