Responsibilities
- Prepare, package, and label outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently using shipping & receiving procedures.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, RF scanners, forklifts (certification preferred), and order pickers to load and unload freight safely.
- Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) and inventory management software to track stock levels, update records, and ensure data entry accuracy.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to schedule shipments, verify order details, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards.
- Conduct inventory management tasks including stocking, order picking, packing, and cycle counts to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Assist in maintaining warehouse organization by managing warehouse distribution processes and ensuring a clean, safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and internal teams to resolve shipping issues promptly while providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is highly preferred; familiarity with warehouse distribution processes is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word for data entry and reporting purposes.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP or MRP software) and inventory management best practices.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for order fulfillment and shipment documentation.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification; experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide superior customer service.
