Accounting Specialist - Cost Accounting

Overview:

Accounting Specialist supports daily operations, trouble shooting, inventory cycle and sample counts, download reports for analysis, review manufacturing transactions in NAV, and assist in ad hoc projects.

Essential Functions:

• Support daily operations and trouble shooting
• Production order issues
• Item Card UOM & PUOM, quantities, and lots issues
• R&D lots conversion to inventory
• Raw materials received but not invoiced
• Raw materials return or credit from vendor
• Bin codes and locations
• Prepare item journals and item reclass journals with proper standard wording, posting groups, quantities, cost centers, and costing
• Review item journals weekly to ensure proper standard wording, posting groups, quantities, and costing are correct
• Review finished production orders weekly to ensure proper posting of consumption, capacity, and output
• Monitor inventory transactions and download month end reports
• Compile cycle count results and assist in cycle count and sample count
• Monitor transactions into receiving bins for raw materials

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree AND
• A minimum of five years of cost accounting
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
• Prior exposure to manufacturing environment a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV a plus
• Strong problem solving and Microsoft Excel skills
• Solid communication abilities
• Minimum two years in accounting position a plus
  
  
  

The base salary range for this full-time position is $22.00/hr - $25.00/hr This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
