We are seeking a Senior Linux/Unix Systems Engineer to support and optimize an enterprise environment of 300 RHEL servers. You will play a key role in system administration, OS patching, performance tuning, and ensuring compliance with strict security and PCI audit requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain RHEL 8/9 environments
- Perform OS patching, system updates, and vulnerability remediation
- Tune systems for optimal performance, including Oracle database servers
- Manage automation with Ansible and the Ansible Automation Platform
- Support and upgrade Satellite 6
- Maintain and troubleshoot VMware-based infrastructure
- Monitor systems using SolarWinds
- Provide on-call, 24×7 rotating Linux/Unix support
- Document procedures and collaborate with IT and business teams
Must-Have Technologies
- RHEL 8/9 administration & patch management
- Ansible / Ansible Automation Platform
- Satellite 6
- VMware (ESXi, vCenter)
- SolarWinds monitoring
- Server security & vulnerability management (PCI, Secunia)
- Oracle performance tuning
- TCP/IP networking, firewalled environments
- Strong troubleshooting and server migration skills

- Basic knowledge of storage, database, or Windows administration
