Jira Admin/Scrum Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Scrum Coordinator to join our SAP ERP application development group. This role is a strategic balance between technical Jira administration and process facilitation. You will be responsible for ensuring that our SAP technical squads remain aligned, their Jira environments are optimized, and their ceremonies are productive and result-oriented.
Key Responsibilities
- Jira Ecosystem Management: Act as the primary administrator for the team’s Jira environment, configuring advanced workflows, custom dashboards, and JQL filters to track SAP-specific deliverables like RICEFW objects.
- Ceremony Facilitation: Lead all Scrum ceremonies—including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, and Retrospectives—ensuring they remain focused on removing technical blockers and meeting delivery timelines.
- SAP Technical Alignment: Coordinate across diverse SAP workstreams (e.g., ABAP, Fiori, Basis) to ensure cross-module dependencies are clearly mapped and tracked within Jira.
- Data-Driven Reporting: Maintain and socialize key agile metrics such as velocity and burndown charts to provide the project management team with clear visibility into SAP release progress.
- Backlog & Documentation Hygiene: Partner with Product Owners to ensure the backlog is administratively sound, prioritized, and meets the technical "Definition of Ready" for the development teams.
- Impediment Resolution: Proactively identify and track obstacles that hinder technical progress, acting as the primary liaison between the team and external stakeholders to clear hurdles.
Qualifications
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or Scrum Coordinator.
- Proven experience working within an SAP environment or on large-scale enterprise application development projects.
Technical Skills
- Expert-level Jira skills: Ability to manage complex boards, automate workflows, and utilize advanced reporting features.
- Foundational knowledge of the SAP development lifecycle (e.g., transports, modules like SD/MM/FICO, or BTP).
- Proficiency in agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
Soft Skills
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and project leadership.
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities within a high-pressure ERP environment.
