We are hiring a Digital Print Production Operator III to support the onsite customer print shop at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York.
The operator will receive, review, schedule, produce, finish, and quality-check customer print jobs using high-volume digital production equipment.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate high-volume digital production printers
- Receive, review, estimate, schedule, and track incoming jobs
- Inspect files for fonts, resolution, registration, and reproduction issues
- Perform quality inspections before, during, and after production
- Operate cutters, inserters, laminators, folders, hole punchers, and mailing equipment
- Integrate variable data into supplied templates
- Scan, convert, organize, back up, and store customer files
- Collect meter readings and perform basic operator maintenance
- Troubleshoot production, quality, finishing, and delivery issues
- Coach and mentor coworkers as needed
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post-high-school technology training or equivalent experience
- Previous print-shop experience operating digital production printers
- At least one year of customer-service experience
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to navigate network drives, printers, files, email, and web-based systems
- Basic math, data-entry, file-conversion, and document-management skills
- Professional communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Pay: $18.00 - $21.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
