Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and passionate Worship Musician and Youth Leader to inspire and engage our community through dynamic worship experiences and youth programs. Responsibilities
- Assist worship pastor by engaging and uplifting worship sessions using musical talent, including playing instruments and singing, to create an inspiring atmosphere for congregational gatherings.
- Collaborate with other musicians, vocalists, and technical teams to plan and execute seamless worship experiences.
- Develop and implement youth-focused activities that promote spiritual growth, leadership development, and community involvement.
- Mentor and build relationships with young people, providing guidance, support, and encouragement in their faith journeys.
- Coordinate with church staff to organize youth events, retreats, and outreach initiatives that resonate with the interests of young attendees.
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages participation from diverse age groups and backgrounds.
- Maintain musical equipment, oversee rehearsals, and stay current with worship music trends to keep services fresh and engaging.
Qualifications
- Proven musical ability in playing instruments such as guitar, keyboard, or drums; proficiency in singing is highly desirable.
- Experience leading worship or performing in a church or community setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire youth and congregation members alike.
- Excellent communication skills for effective mentorship and collaboration with team members.
- Knowledge of theatrical elements or experience with stage production is a plus for enhancing worship presentations.
- Passion for youth development, spiritual growth, and fostering a positive community environment.
