Overview
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. This role involves providing outstanding customer service, managing food and beverage orders, and ensuring guest satisfaction from seating to check presentation. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or related roles is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, strong time management abilities, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation standards.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements as a host/host when needed
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Help with preparing drink orders
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Manage guest relations by providing attentive service, addressing inquiries, and resolving concerns efficiently
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and proper food preparation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems; process payments efficiently
- Maintain a clean work environment adhering to sanitation protocols
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems is preferred
- Experience in fine dining settings or upscale hospitality environments is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Background in culinary arts or kitchen experience can be advantageous but not required
- Strong skills in customer service, guest relations, upselling, and sales techniques
- Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently with excellent time management skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling and bill splitting are essential
- Experience working in nightclubs or high-volume venues is beneficial
