Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
• Prepare and serve coffee beverages, snacks, and light food items following food safety and handling guidelines.
• Operate cash registers accurately, handle cash and card transactions, and manage cashiering duties with efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas.
• Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety standards to promote a safe environment for staff and guests.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.
• Support sales initiatives by upselling menu items and promoting special offers to enhance guest experience.

Skills

• Proven experience as a barista or in food service roles within cafés or retail environments.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and transactions.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, register balancing, and sales calculations.
• Knowledge of food safety practices, proper food handling, and food preparation techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
