Quality Engineer Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their Quality Department and lead a team of 3–5 employees. This role partners closely with Production and Engineering to ensure compliance with customer and industry quality standards while responding to customer inquiries and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the Quality Department, including scheduling and supervising staff
• Maintain compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards
• Conduct internal audits and support external/customer audits
• Oversee inspection processes, gage control, PPAPs, First Article Inspections, and Root Cause Corrective Actions
• Manage customer quality requirements through portals (GE experience required), contract reviews, and customer communications
• Create and maintain inspection method sheets (IMS), work instructions, and quality procedures
• Review material certifications, vendor documentation, and inspection records
• Assist with in-process inspections and production support as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, auditing, PPAP, First Article Inspection, and Root Cause Analysis
• Experience with customer portals (GE preferred), blueprint reading, balloon drawings, and inspection methods
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
