Role Description The Project Manager (Contract) will coordinate and oversee client-facing projects that support leadership, culture, and AI-focused transformation initiatives. This hybrid role is based in Alexandria, VA, with some flexibility for work from home, and requires on-site presence for client meetings, workshops, and internal collaboration. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning project scopes and timelines, tracking milestones and deliverables, and maintaining detailed project documentation. The Project Manager will facilitate communication between internal advisors, external partners, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment on goals, risks, and expectations. The role also involves managing project logistics, monitoring budgets and resource allocation, preparing concise status reports, and supporting continuous improvement of delivery processes.
Qualifications
- Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Expeditor and Expediting skills to ensure tasks, approvals, and deliverables move efficiently across teams and client organizations.
- Logistics Management skills to organize meetings, workshops, timelines, and resource allocation in a multi-client advisory environment.
- Inspection and quality assurance skills to review project outputs, verify adherence to requirements, and maintain high standards of delivery.
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects, preferably in consulting, professional services, or organizational transformation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present concise updates and facilitate meetings.
- Comfort working in a small, high-accountability firm and managing multiple projects with limited supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are a plus.
- Experience working with public sector, nonprofit, or mid-market clients in the DMV region is beneficial; Spanish language skills are a plus.
