SCOPE/GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
This role partners directly with hospital systems, physician groups, imaging centers, and specialty practices to identify operational gaps, optimize workflows, improve revenue integrity, and implement sustainable revenue cycle solutions.
A proven healthcare revenue cycle leader with deep operational expertise, strong executive presence, and the ability to navigate complex healthcare environments while delivering measurable financial and operational results.
This role is client-facing, high collaborative, and focused on strategic advisory services, operational assessments, workflow redesign, revenue optimization, and performance improvement initiatives across the healthcare revenue cycle continuum. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Revenue Cycle Optimization & Operational Consulting
- Assess and evaluate end-to-end revenue cycle operations across hospital systems and physician practices
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue capture, reduce denials, optimize workflows, and enhance operational performance
- Lead operational assessments focused on scheduling, registration, financial clearance, charge capture, coding, billing, collections, reimbursement, reconciliation, and denial management
- Develop strategic recommendations and actionable improvement plans aligned with client goals and operational realities
- Support clients through workflow redesign, operational transformation, and revenue integrity initiatives
- Analyze KPIs, operational data, and financial trends to identify improvement opportunities and measure performance outcomes
- Assist clients with revenue cycle stabilization, process standardization, and governance development
Client Advisory & Strategic Leadership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to healthcare executives, operational leaders, and physician stakeholders
- Facilitate executive-level discussions and present findings, recommendations, and strategic roadmaps
- Build strong client relationships through responsiveness, collaboration, and consistent value delivery
- Provide subject matter expertise related to healthcare revenue cycle operations, reimbursement, revenue integrity, and operational best practices
- Support business development efforts through client relationship expansion and identification of additional consulting opportunities
- Collaborate internally with company leadership, consultants, analysts, and project teams to support successful client outcomes
Revenue Integrity & Financial Performance Improvement
- Evaluate charge capture processes, reimbursement workflows, denial trends, and revenue leakage opportunities
- Identify operational inefficiencies impacting cash flow, reimbursement accuracy, and financial performance
- Support implementation of best practices related to revenue integrity, documentation improvement, and operational accountability
- Develop performance improvement strategies focused on reducing avoidable write-offs, denials, and reimbursement delays
- Assist organizations with optimization of EPIC and other revenue cycle technologies and reporting capabilities
Reporting, Communication & Deliverables
- Develop clear, executive-level presentations and operational reports outlining findings, recommendations, and project progress
- Translate complex operational and financial data into actionable insights and client-friendly deliverables
- Provide regular project status updates and communicate risks, barriers, and recommendations effectively
- Support development of training materials, operational workflows, and process documentation when applicable
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field preferred
- HFMA, AAHAM, CRCR, or other healthcare revenue cycle certifications preferred
- 8 years of healthcare revenue cycle, revenue integrity, operational consulting, or healthcare financial management experience
- Strong background working with hospital systems, physician groups, imaging centers, oncology, radiology, or specialty healthcare organizations.
- Demonstrated experience leading operational improvement and revenue optimization initiatives
- Experience with consulting engagements, client-facing advisory services, and executive stakeholder communication preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment

- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Salary : $100,000 - $140,000
