Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Construction Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support various construction projects by assisting skilled tradespeople and ensuring that work sites are organized and safe. This role is essential for maintaining efficiency on-site and contributing to the overall success of our projects.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and cleanup of job sites, ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
- Support carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople in their daily tasks.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Operate basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks on-site.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is required.
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong physical stamina; ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety practices is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills.
