What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomy Technician position at Revel Staffing?
We’re seeking an experienced Phlebotomy Technician to support a high-reliability clinical environment serving a diverse patient population. You’ll perform high-quality specimen collections, maintain strict chain-of-custody and privacy standards, and deliver great patient care while working closely with clinicians and lab staff.
What You’ll Do
Perform venipuncture and capillary collections; provide clear instructions for urine and culture specimens
Verify patient identity, label specimens accurately, and ensure proper handling/transport per SOP & CLIA
Enter demographics/orders in the Laboratory Information System (LIS); generate labels and query results
Follow Universal Blood & Body Fluid Precautions and all safety/industry protocols
Monitor supplies; communicate material needs and assist with evaluating phlebotomy devices
Schedule appointments as needed; greet/process lab patients and assist with phones
Build effective working relationships with patients, clinicians, and lab staff
Minimum Qualifications
MediClear or equivalent HIPAA certification (required)
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a NAACLS-accredited or two-part phlebotomy program (preferred)
National certification: PBT–ASCP or RPT–AMT (preferred)
