A confidential hospital-based imaging center is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures and support patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform CT scans and specialized procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and drainages.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain each step to ensure comfort and understanding.
Obtain and monitor intravenous contrast injections, ensuring proper safety and quality standards.
Provide radiation protection in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Observe and report patient conditions, recognizing and responding to emergency situations.
Collaborate with radiologists to ensure optimal image quality and accurate diagnostic results.
Maintain equipment cleanliness, perform quality control checks, and assist with equipment troubleshooting.
Accurately charge procedures, manage patient records, and send images to PACS.
Qualifications
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, or Nuclear Medicine (or equivalent military training).
MediClear certification or equivalent required.
South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association license required.
Proficient in starting IVs and administering contrast.
Strong patient-care skills and ability to provide compassionate, developmentally appropriate care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
