Payroll Specialist
Revel Group is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team in Knoxville, TN! This position will oversee payroll processing and payroll compliance for Anakeesta, WildSide, Bryce Development, and Revel Group.
Your Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for Anakeesta employees and bi-weekly payroll for WildSide, Bryce Development, and Revel Group employees
- Process off-cycle payroll payments as needed
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure proper documentation of all pay changes, deductions, taxes, and garnishments
- Manage and maintain the Harvest timekeeping system, including employee time tracking, auditing, and reporting
- Demonstrate strong HRIS and payroll system expertise, including creating and maintaining custom payroll reports, dashboards, audits, and reconciliations
- Ensure payroll accuracy and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour laws
- Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, paychecks, deductions, direct deposits, and timekeeping
- Prepare payroll reports, audits, reconciliations, and custom reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and third-party providers to ensure payroll data integrity
- Assist with payroll-related accounting and accounts payable functions as needed
- Responsible for responding to and managing unemployment claims on behalf of the organization
- Administer garnishments, child support orders, wage attachments, and other involuntary deductions
- Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll information
- Support year-end payroll processing, including W-2 preparation and payroll tax reconciliation
- Other duties as assigned
What You Need
- Payroll processing experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required
- Working knowledge of payroll laws and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and timekeeping platforms preferred
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information professionally
