Key Responsibilities:
Tractor & Trailer Maintenance and Repair
- Perform comprehensive preventive maintenance services on tractors and trailers
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems efficiently and accurately
- Conduct safety inspections on key systems including brakes, steering, suspension, and wheel bearings
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication, and fluid top-offs
- Troubleshoot and repair major components including engines, transmissions, and differentials
- Complete daily work orders and maintenance logs with accuracy and attention to detail
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills in diesel engines and heavy vehicles
- Proficient with hand and power tools used in vehicle repair and maintenance
- Experience with transmissions, air brake systems, alignments, and hydraulic systems
- Familiarity with suspension systems, HVAC, and electrical troubleshooting
- Welding and fabrication skills preferred
- Prior experience in a dealership or heavy equipment environment is a plus
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions
