Function: Responsible for profitably selling and promoting lighting products to existing and potential customers while identifying new opportunities in the marketplace. This role involves working in a lighting showroom, attending trade shows, and maintaining expertise in lighting solutions.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide expert guidance on lighting solutions, including fixture selection, energy efficiency, and smart lighting technologies.
• Seeks prospective business opportunities with new and existing customers.
• Strengthens existing customer relationships and identifies potential for account growth.
• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints, offering tailored solutions that meet their lighting needs.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of lighting fixtures, bulbs, smart lighting, and energy-efficient solutions.
• Coordinates customer returns and exchanges and completes proper documentation according to the company's policies.
• Attend supplier/manufacturer training sessions, trade shows, and networking events occasionally outside regular business hours.
• Follow up on all quotations, existing orders, manage calling queues, and maintain bid follow-up queues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide the Lighting Manager with daily updates on customer interactions, inquiries, and sales activities.
• Performs other related duties as needed to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Strong computer skills, including business application software, ERP system, web browsers, internet search engines, email and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations related to pricing and discounts.
• Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
