The Maintenance Storeroom Clerk is responsible for organizing, tracking, and distributing maintenance-related parts, tools, supplies, and equipment. This role ensures accurate inventory control, efficient stock management, and timely support to the maintenance team to minimize downtime and maintain smooth facility operations.

- Location: Johnson City, TN Manufacturing Plant

Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming maintenance parts, materials, and equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with periodic full inventory audits
- Monitor inventory levels and initiate reorders to prevent stockouts
- Kit and Stage parts, tools, and supplies for ready-to-schedule work orders
- Organize and maintain the storeroom to ensure cleanliness, safety, and easy accessibility
- Issue parts, tools, and supplies to maintenance personnel and track usage
- Label and store materials according to safety and company guidelines
- Manage the return, repair, and replacement processes for damaged or worn items
- Maintain accurate records of receipts, withdrawals, and inventory adjustments
- Update equipment files and part specifications in the CMMS
- Prepare inventory usage and cost reports as requested
- Assist with sourcing, pricing, and ordering materials from approved vendors
- Communicate with suppliers regarding orders, delivery schedules, and discrepancies
- Follow up on back-orders or urgent requests to support maintenance needs
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Store chemicals, lubricants, and hazardous materials according to proper safety procedures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse efficiency and safety
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in inventory control, warehousing, or maintenance support preferred
- Previous experience with CMMS systems
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic mechanical/electrical knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and general computer software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Fast-paced industrial, manufacturing, or facility maintenance setting
- Frequent interaction with maintenance technicians, and vendors
- May require occasional overtime depending on maintenance schedules
