Job Title: Painter
Location: Kissimmee, FL
FLSA Status: Hourly/Non-Exempt

Job Responsibilities

•    Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, patching holes, and repairing cracks.
•    Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes to walls, ceilings, woodwork, furniture, and other surfaces as needed.
•    Match paint colors and finishes to existing surfaces for seamless repairs.
•    Maintain painting tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring proper storage and inventory of supplies.
•    Protect all adjacent areas and hotel property during painting projects to avoid damage.
•    Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
•    Assist in preventive maintenance projects to ensure hotel facilities remain in top condition.
•    Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of ladders, scaffolding, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
•    Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
•    Work collaboratively with the Engineering/Maintenance team to complete tasks efficiently and with minimal disruption to guests.
•    Maintain a professional appearance at all times, ensuring the assigned uniform is clean, pressed, and complete with the required nametag.
•    Attend all required meetings and trainings.
•    Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to meet business needs.
•    Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and brand service standards.
 

Qualifications/Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional painting experience, preferably in a hospitality, commercial, or residential setting.
• Knowledge of various paints, finishes, and application techniques.
• Ability to safely operate painting tools, equipment, and materials.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
• May require working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule availbility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required based on hotel needs.
• As a condition of employment, this position will require driving a company vehicle. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
