What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - PRN position at Reunion Rehabilitation Hospital Plano?
Weekdays and 1 required weekend day.
Position Summary:
Performs component of occupational therapy procedures and related tasks under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and in accordance with practices of occupational therapy. Patient population ranges in age from 18 years to geriatric experiencing rehabilitation diagnosis/conditions and/or conditions requiring rehabilitation. Assist patients in achieving his/her maximum functional performance while learning to live within his/her capabilities. Record patient’s responses to treatment and report treatment outcomes to the Occupational Therapist.

Schedule: 2 Weekends days are required, weekday availability required as needed
Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.
Desired Qualification:
- Inpatient rehabilitation experience.
