- Determines quality control standards
- Selecting, ordering, and purchasing materials
- Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas
- Ensures proper training of all Teammates regarding Safety, Quality, and other company procedures and programs
- Executes SOPs and holds team accountable, including progressive discipline when necessary
- Manages Teammates’ time and attendance and updates hours appropriately
- Identifies talent, including primary and backups for critical roles
- Holds daily management meetings with the team to discuss daily goals, objectives, and company/department updates
- Promotes a safe work environment; ensures that warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform distribution functions
- Provides a hands-on approach, including the scheduling of personnel, overseeing of warehouse daily activities including receiving, stocking, inventory control, order filling, and private truck shipments as well as customer pickup orders, workflow, performance and work standards, accuracy, and productivity
- Charts progress and develop enhancements to drive efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, management, or similar, or at least 2 years of experience in the logistics warehouse, inventory field, plus demonstrated management qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
- Frequently required to walk, bend, use hands, and reach with hands and arms
- Possible weekend work and overtime required (including potential overnight shifts)
- Ability to frequently and repetitively lift, push, and carry up to 20-35 lbs.
- Ability to frequently and repetitively bend, lift, and reach to install parts of varying size and weight overhead
- Great communication and critical-thinking skill
