Position SummaryThe Seasonal Warehouse Courier at Rettinger Fireplace Systems plays a vital support role during our peak Fall and Winter season. This position splits time between warehouse operations and making timely deliveries of fireplaces, inserts, venting, and related products to job sites. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and flexible, helping to keep our installation and service teams moving efficiently during the busiest time of year. This is a seasonal position typically running from September through March, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
● Perform courier and delivery runs, safely transporting fireplaces, inserts, chimney components, and job-specific materials to installation and service sites.
● Assist in the warehouse with receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and staging orders for upcoming jobs.
● Load and unload trucks and delivery vehicles, ensuring products are properly secured and protected.
● Help prepare and stage materials for installation crews each morning.
● Make emergency or same-day parts deliveries to job sites as needed to minimize delays.
● Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, including sweeping and organizing racks.
● Perform basic inventory tasks such as labeling, cycle counts, and identifying low-stock items.
● Assist with returns, warranty processing, and incoming vendor shipments.
● Follow all safety protocols and help maintain a safe working environment in the warehouse and on the road.
● Take direction from the Warehouse Supervisor, Purchasing & Production Supervisor, and Field Operations Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
● Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to drive a box truck or cargo van.
● Ability to lift up to 75 pounds repeatedly and perform physical work throughout the day.
● Reliable, punctual, and available to work full-time during peak Fall and Winter months (September–March).
● Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Previous warehouse, delivery, or construction-related experience.
● Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
● Familiarity with fireplaces, chimney systems, or construction materials.
● Experience using basic inventory or delivery tracking systems.
Compensation
Hourly Range: $18 – $24 per hour (commensurate with experience), plus overtime eligibility.

● Earned Sick Leave: Up to 40 hours of paid sick leave per benefit year, accrued at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, in accordance with New Jersey Earned Sick Leave Law.
