Position SummaryAs an Installer at Rettinger Fireplace Systems, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality installations of fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and related systems. This position is ideal for motivated individuals who are eager to grow their technical skills in a supportive, craftsmanship-focused environment while contributing to exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
● Perform quality fireplace and hearth product installations according to manufacturer specifications and company standards, including venting, gas/electrical connections, and finishing work
● Assist with site preparation, job site cleanup, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment
● Communicate professionally with customers, explaining the installation process and addressing basic questions
● Collaborate with the Install Manager and team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
● Report material issues, field challenges, or improvement suggestions to the Lead Installer
● Complete required documentation, photos, and checklists for each installation
● Participate actively in training sessions and work toward obtaining relevant certifications
● Continuously develop and acquire skillsets to advance on the Install Training Matrix
● Assist with warehouse and showroom improvements as needed
Qualifications & Requirements● 1–3 years in fireplace installation, construction, HVAC, or related trades● High school diploma or equivalent required● NFI certification or willingness to obtain within the first year; valid NJ driver’s license with clean record● Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces or at heights, and maintain strong attention to detail● Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to premium craftsmanship and customer satisfaction
CompensationHourly Range: $25 – $35 per hour (commensurate with experience), plus overtime eligibility. Average annual earnings potential: $52,000 – $72,800
