RETS Associates is partnering with a vertically integrated real estate owner-operator to identify a ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐ป๐ถ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ, ๐๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐น๐ผ๐ฝ๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ (๐๐ฎ๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐) to join their growing platform in Menlo Park, CA.
The Senior Associate will sit at the intersection of development execution, project controls, and investment analysis, supporting the delivery of large-scale hyperscale data center developments across major U.S. markets. This individual will work directly with senior leadership and play a critical role in managing project budgets, schedules, and cross-functional coordination across internal teams and external partners.
This is a high-exposure, execution-driven role designed as a pipeline to Development Manager / AVP for candidates with 3โ5 years of experience in real estate development, construction, project finance, or infrastructure-related roles.
Responsibilities:
โข Track and manage development budgets and project schedules across multiple large-scale data center developments
โข Coordinate across architects, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), civil/environmental engineers, contractors, and internal development/finance teams
โข Monitor critical path items including power delivery, entitlements, and long-lead procurement
โข Support underwriting, investment memos, and capital coordination across equity and debt processes
Ideal Candidate Profile:
โข 3โ5 years of experience in real estate development, construction, project controls, or real estate project finance
โข Strong understanding of development economics, including hard/soft costs, capital structures, and project scheduling
โข Experience coordinating with contractors, engineers, consultants, or infrastructure stakeholders
โข Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with multiple concurrent workstreams
