What You’ll Do
As a DCT, you will:
- Provide 24/7 supervision and support in a structured, therapeutic environment
- Build trusting relationships with youth through trauma-informed care
- Help maintain a safe, stable, and positive living space
- Support daily routines, life skills, and treatment activities
- Monitor behavior, emotional wellbeing, and safety risks
- Document progress, incidents, and care with accuracy and professionalism
- Step in during crises using approved de-escalation techniques
- Be a consistent, supportive presence during a critical time in each resident’s life
Who You Are
You’re someone who:
- Has a heart for working with at-risk youth
- Stays calm under pressure and leads with empathy
- Believes in second chances and recovery
- Can balance structure with compassion
- Is dependable, observant, and ready to make an impact every day
Basic Requirements
- 21 years old
- Clear background check, drug screening, and TB test
- Valid Texas driver’s license (if transporting residents)
- Ability to handle physical, emotional, and mental job demands
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience in residential treatment, behavioral health, or Substance Use Disorder programs
- Background working with trauma, exploitation survivors, or high-risk youth
