We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical billing, insurance claims, and ophthalmology-specific billing procedures.
Responsibilities
· Submit and follow up on medical insurance claims
· Post payments and adjustments accurately
· Work insurance denials, rejections, and outstanding accounts
· Handle AR follow-up and appeals
· Review EOBs and resolve billing discrepancies
· Communicate with insurance companies and patients regarding billing questions
· Ensure compliance with billing and coding requirements
Qualifications
· Previous medical billing experience required
· Ophthalmology billing experience strongly preferred
· Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
· Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
