We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Tech to join our ophthalmology practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, supporting clinical operations, and ensuring accurate medical documentation. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient intake, including gathering medical history and documenting symptoms
- Assist ophthalmologists during examinations and procedures using aseptic techniques
- Operate and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic equipment such as optical coherence tomography (OCT) and other imaging devices
- Manage medical records accurately
- Educate patients on pre- and post-procedure care, including medication instructions and eye health tips
- Support front desk operations, and handling patient inquiries
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security
- Assist with inventory management of ophthalmic supplies and optical products
- Support billing and coding processes related to ophthalmology services, ensuring accuracy for insurance claims
