What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical / Ophthalmic Assistant - Full TIme position at Retina Care Group, Inc?
- Under direction of supervisor or physician receives and prepares patients for examination or treatment in high-volume and fast-paced retina-specialty ophthalmology setting.
- Documents patient information in the patient electronic medical record.
- Assists with procedures in office.
- Is COA certified or has the ability and drive to achieve COA certification within 1 year of hire.
- Potential to become certified in surgical assisting if interested.
- Has interest in learning about this specialty and potential to increase responsibilities over time.
- Assists in scheduling, insurance and authorizations, and other administrative duties when not in clinical workflow, as assigned.
- Salary based on experience, education and skill set.
- On job-training provided. Benefits for full-time employees.
- Multiple office locations. Must be willing to travel up to 50% to other locations to see patients. Mileage reimbursed.
