Refurb Technician

The Refurb Technician is instrumental in supporting the operational efficiency and sustainability of RTG's maintenance program. This role focuses on refurbishing components and sub-assemblies critical to the equipment serviced under contracts and customer requests, ensuring adherence to RTG's high-quality standards.

• Refurbish components and sub-assemblies related to serviced equipment, emphasizing quality and efficiency in alignment with departmental procedures.
• Collaborate closely with the Senior Maintenance Program Manager to forecast equipment needs and coordinate procurement with the purchasing department.
• Maintain organized refurb workspace and warehouse areas to optimize workflow and inventory management.
• Communicate effectively with the Senior Maintenance Program Manager regarding parts availability, refurbishment progress, and any operational challenges.

Essential Job Duties

• Solid understanding of basic electronics and proficient troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with basic hand tools essential for refurbishment tasks.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and contribute to team objectives.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality refurbishments.
• Effective communication skills to interact professionally within the department.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical coursework or certifications related to IT or electronics preferred but not required.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
